Chick-fil-A Construction Expected to Begin in Fall

Area residents still have a few more months to wait before the opens.

Chick-fil-A public relations representative Brenda Morrow said construction on the Dacula Road restaurant is tentatively scheduled to begin in late September.

“Right now, it’s looking as if it will open in January of 2012,” Morrow said.

However, Morrow cautioned the projected date could change.

“There are a lot of factors that go into [the opening date],” she said.

The 4,500-square-foot eatery will be located at 545 Dacula Road between the and . The restaurant will have seating for 144 customers and will include a children’s play area.

Chick-fil-A has more than 1,500 restaurants in 39 states and is one of the largest privately held restaurant chains in the nation. Sales in 2009 topped $3.2 billion making Chick-fil-A the second largest quick service chicken restaurant chain in the United States.
