Council to Discuss City Park Improvements

Park naming and mutual aid agreement also on Thursday night's city council work session agenda.

The Dacula City Council is expected to discuss additional improvements to the downtown park during Thursday night's work session.

The park, located at the corner of Wilson Street and Second Avenue, is home to the city's new gazebo. The gazebo, which is currently under construction, is an octagon-shaped structure on a 20x20 concrete slab. The gazebo has an eight-sided cupola with tempered glass and is constructed of cedar with cedar shake shingles on the roof.

On March 1, the Dacula City Council approved plans to construct . The sidewalks and seating are expected to cost $5,500 bringing the total cost of the project to $22,500.
