- Gwinnett County is currently considering a new, more comprehensive program for sex education in county public schools. The program would include lessons about consent, contraceptive use, and gender and sexual identity. (The Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
- This year's Gwinnett County youth commission program is now open for applicants. The program is a free, year-long program that will teach 30 participants about the local government and how they can influence change in the community. Qualified applicants include county residents who are attending a high school in the county. (The Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
- A neighbor helped a homeowner and her dog out of their burning house on New Year's Eve in Dacula. No one was injured in the house fire, and the cause of the fire is still unknown. The Gwinnett County Fire Department encouraged residents to check their smoke alarms to make sure they're working properly. (11 Alive)
