BIRMINGHAM, AL -- April Uhlich of Dacula graduated from Samford University during recent commencement exercises. Uhlich earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Ida B. Moffett School of Nursing.

Georgia Southern University Congratulates Graduates

STATESBORO, GA -- Georgia Southern University recently held its annual spring commencement ceremonies for graduate and undergraduate students at Hanner Fieldhouse and Allen E. Paulson Stadium. University President Brooks A. Keel, Ph.D., conferred more than 3,300 graduate and undergraduate degrees during two separate ceremonies to accommodate the graduating classes.

From Georgia State: Vann Awarded Demos Scholarship

ATLANTA, GA -- Derek Vann of Hoschton was awarded the John Demos Memorial Scholarship at the College of Arts and Sciences 2015 Honors Day Ceremony. The John Demos Memorial Scholarship recognizes a junior, senior or incoming transfer student at the sophomore level or higher who demonstrates outstanding talent on a woodwind instrument and performs in two or more School of Music instrumental ensembles.

Georgia Southern University Announces Spring 2015 Dean’s List Honorees

STATESBORO, GA -- Georgia Southern University recently named 2,611 students for excellence in academics to the 2015 Spring Semester Dean’s List. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must have at least a 3.5 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.
