Dacula Driver Helps Team Secure Second Place Finish in Rolex Race Series Event

After a 11th place qualifying effort, Magnus Racing, whose team includes Dacula driver Andy Lally, picked up a second place finish during the June 15 Diamond Cellar Classic in Lexington, Ohio.

Magnus Racing entered Saturday's two hour and 45 minute race ranked second in the Grand Am team point standings. After their second-place race finish, Magnus Racing now leads the GT class point standings, according to Motorsports.com.

Motorsports.com reports that Lally, who drove the second half of the race, used "pit strategy and smart driving" to make his way into the top three during the final 30 minutes of the race.

“We made up so much time in the pits,” Lally told Motorsports.com. “We got out ahead of the other Porsches and had a good battle with the guys."
