Two schools from Gwinnett County won scholarships in the Peachtree Junior Challenge during the weekend, according to the Atlanta Track Club.

The four schools/organizations that had the most kids register for Saturday’s Peachtree Junior events received scholarships that were awarded on behalf of Atlanta Track Club’s Kilometer Kids youth running program.
Norcross Elementary took first place in the Challenge by registering 132 kids – the school received a $2,000 scholarship.

Dacula Elementary came in third with 111 kids – taking home a $1,000 scholarship.
The scholarships are used to fund the organization’s future physical activity programs.
The 29th running of the Peachtree Junior was held on Saturday, May 16 at Piedmont Park.
