Dacula Fire Stations Collecting Supplies for Troops

Project part of Gwinnett County's partnership with Soldiers' Angels.

Dacula area fire stations are participating in a countywide effort to collect much needed supplies for troops.

Gwinnett County has partnered with Soldiers’ Angels to support Georgia troops overseas. Residents are asked to donate small hygiene items such as lip balm, individually wrapped toothbrushes and travel-sized hygiene items including deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, toothpaste, dental floss, lotion, hand sanitizer, mouthwash and facial cleanser.

Locally, supplies can be delivered to , , and . Residents may also drop off items at the Department of Water Resources Headquarters, 684 Winder Highway in Lawrenceville, or the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center.

The collection effort is part of National County Government Month. The theme of this year’s celebration is "Serving Our Veterans, Armed Forces, and Their Families." Gwinnett County will hold a variety of activities to raise awareness of county government and honor Gwinnett County residents and employees who are veterans or active military.
