Dacula Gas Gauge: AAA Says Prices Hit 2015 High
The average price in GA for regular unleaded was $2.40 as of Sunday.

Gas prices soared to their highest levels since December last week, as Georgia motorists saw another sharp increase at the pump.

The AAA said in its weekly fuel briefing that the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline jumped another 7 cents last week, up to $2.40 as of Sunday. The increase came after a 9-cent hike the previous week.
The average price in Georgia has jumped 18 cents in the past month, but was still more than a dollar and a quarter below the average at the same time last year.

The national average of $2.53 Sunday, the first time in 127 days the price rose over the $2.50 mark, the AAA said.
βMotorists havenβt seen prices this high since December,β AAA spokesman Mark Jenkins said in the briefing. βUnfortunately, oil prices have been trending higher and that keeps upward pressure on the price of gasoline. Prices are likely to continue inching upward approaching the start of the summer driving season, which is not uncommon for this time of year as refineries transition to the more expensive summer-blend gasoline.β
The lowest price reported Monday in Dacula on AtlantaGasPrice.com was $2.38.
