Dacula Girls Safe After Mom's Bizarre Abduction: Police
Police say Frances Owens was talking about the end of the world and set fire to her home before taking the girls, ages 11 and 9.
DACULA, GA — Police say two Dacula girls have been found safe after being checked out of school by their mother, who had set fire to their home and was talking about the end of the world.
Trinity Keller, 11, and Lily Keller, 9, were returned to their father's custody Wednesday evening, after police had put out an urgent alert, saying the girls were believed to be in grave danger.
Frances Owens, 39, was taken into custody in Henry County.

According to police, Owens had been making odd statements about the world coming to an end for several days.
On Wednesday, police say she shaved her head and set fire to her family's home in the 1000 block of Mitford Lane in Dacula.

The fire caused minor damage and was contained by firefighters to a few items inside the home.
She then checked her girls out of school early. Workers at the school said she again was making strange comments as she did, according to police.
Owens is being charged with first-degree arson, police said. She was booked into Henry County Jail, with plans being to transport her back to Gwinnett County.
