Dacula High to Honor Longtime Football PA Announcer

Dacula High School will honor longtime public-address announcer Joe Ford at tonight’s football season opener against Collins Hill (kickoff is 7:30 p.m.).

Ford, a 1967 graduate of Dacula High, announced for 40 years, according to an item in Friday’s Georgia High School Football Daily newsletter.

Dacula’s pres box is named after Ford, who coined the phrase “You are now in Falcon Country.”
