Dacula Man Arrested For Shooting Two Women He Lived With

Women were hiding when police arrived at the shooting scene on Sunday.

UPDATE: Gwinnett County Police have identified the suspect and victims in the case. The suspect is Davion Scott, 23. The two victims are identified as Suzette Anson, 40, and Wendy Gillespi, 28. Scott has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

DACULA, GA -- A Dacula man was arrested Sunday after shooting two women with whom he shared a home in the legs, police say.

Gwinnett County Police responded shortly before 2 p.m. to a call to 1587 Rolling View Way in unincorporated Dacula. They were met by several people in the home’s driveway who told them both the shooter and the victims were still inside the home.

Police say they found the suspect, identified only as a man in his early 20’s, in the home’s master bedroom and arrested him without incident.

The victims, identified as women in their late 30’s and early 40’s, were found hiding in the master bathroom adjacent to where the suspect was found. Both women had been shot β€œin the lower extremities,” according to a police news release.

The were taken to Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, where they were treated for injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

Neither the suspect nor the victims had been identified by police as of Monday morning.
