“We want to bring awareness to the people that mind and body connection is very valuable for everything that we do in our lives,” she explained.

Currently, Sun Tae Kwon Do is offering one free trial lesson for those interested in learning more about what the martial arts college has to offer.

Brooks said Tae Kwon Do is beneficial not just for children, but also for adults. According to Brooks, it improves focus, brings body and mind awareness, improves overall health and teaches respect.

“We don’t encourage fighting,” Brooks said. “We encourage self-respect, we encourage respect for others.”
