Interested In Participating In Dacula's Memorial Day Parade? Apply Now

The 29th Annual Dacula Memorial Day parade is Monday, May 30. The committee is seeking veterans, high school marching bands, businesses.

DACULA, GA — The 29th Annual Dacula Memorial Day parade is accepting parade entry applications now through May 13.

The parade starts at 10 a.m., rain or shine, Monday, May 30 from Hebron Baptist Church located at 202 Hebron Church Road. Applicants will be accepted on a first come basis this year. A maximum of 150 entries will be accepted. The deadline for entries is midnight, Friday, May 13, or when 150 entries have been received, whichever comes first, organizers said.

The theme for this year’s parade is “Our Fallen, Your Freedom” and honors those men and women that paid the ultimate sacrifice with their service to our country, organizers said.

“We are seeking Veterans, Veterans organizations, active and reserve service men and women, both current and vintage military vehicles, high school marching bands, middle school bands, scouts, churches, school organizations, community groups, custom designed floats and local businesses to participate in this year’s parade,” organizers posted on social media.

The parade route will proceed down Dacula Road towards Dacula Park, turn right on Wilson Street, turn right on Second Avenue, cross Broad Street to Hebron Church Road and continue back to the Hebron Baptist Church.
