Dacula, Mill Creek Students Selected As Finalists for Georgia Governor’s Honors Program
Local students are among the 96 Gwinnett County Public Schools students who will take part in the program.

One Dacula High School student and seven Mill Creek High School students will spend part of their summer studying as part of the Georgia Governor’s Honors Program (GHP), a program for gifted and talented high school juniors and seniors.
A total of 96 Gwinnett County Public Schools students were selected as finalists out of the 3,000 students statewide who interviewed and auditioned for the program.
Melissa Johnson, of Dacula High School, will join Mill Creek students Antra Das, Taylor Holmes, Keely Mruk, Jamie Na, Joshua Neely, Chukwuka Okoye and Siddhi Shah at Valdosta State University in late June to begin four weeks of intensive studies in their area of interest.
