A day marking great achievements and new beginnings, Abigail Aceto of Dacula was among the more than 1,800 University of Dayton students receiving their degree during 2015 spring undergraduate commencement ceremonies Sunday, May 3. They received their degrees along with actor Martin Sheen, whom the University presented with an honorary doctor of humane letters degree for his lifelong commitment to peace, social justice and human rights exemplifying the Catholic, Marianist university’s mission, during the undergraduate commencement ceremony in University of Dayton Arena.

Hoschton resident Shannon Wood was among the more than 700 students who graduated from Bob Jones University Fri., May 8. Wood graduated with a MMus in Performance. During the 88th commencement exercises, 531 students received undergraduate degrees and 50 students received associate degrees. In addition, 129 students received master’s degrees and 23 candidates received earned doctorates.

Troy University graduation

Jessica Hubers of Hoschton, GA, has graduated from Troy University during the Spring 2015 semester at the University’s campus in Troy, Ala. Hubers received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the Sorrell College of Business.

Phi Kappa Phi

Christian Smith of Dacula (30019) has been initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Smith was initiated at The University of Georgia
