Dacula-Area High Schools Among Washington Post's List of Most Challenging in America
They were among the 1,900 schools nationwide to make the list.
Several area high schools have been named to a list of institutions that challenge their students to excel.
Dacula, Mill Creek, Mountain View and Archer were all ranked among 1,900 schools that made theΒ America's Most Challenging High SchoolsΒ list published byΒ The Washington Post.
Only 9 percent of the roughly 22,000 public highΒ schools earned placement on the 2014 list.

Gwinnett School of Math, Science & Tech in Lawrenceville was the countyβs and stateβs highest ranked school at No. 17.

The index formula used for the rankingsΒ measures public and private high schoolsβ ability to challenge their students. A schoolβs ranking is determined by dividing the number of college-level tests given by a school to all its students by the number of graduates for that year.Β Gwinnett schools ranked by the Washington Post (with national ranking):
