Dacula’s Website Redesigned
Updated site intended to be easier to access and includes moderated forums.

Last week, the launched an updated version of the city's website, www.daculaga.gov.
In a welcome statement posted on the site, described the new site as a “vehicle for participation in city government.”
Unlike the forums on the old site, the new forums will be moderated. Wilbanks said moderating the forums is part of an overall effort to stress civility. The city now requires registered users to provide certain personal information which Mayor Wilbanks says will not be displayed on the site. However, the information will be available to "those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on the City’s behalf or to provide services available at the City’s websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others" according to the new privacy statement on the website. The privacy statement further includes the assurance that "The City takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information."
