Diggory Memorial Service to Be Held Saturday

Dacula resident was long-time member of the Lion's Club and a volunteer for Project Share.

Robert (Bob) H. Diggory, III, age 77, of Dacula, died suddenly on Aug. 28, 2011.

Born in Albany, N.Y., Diggory attended Russell Sage College and served in the National Guard. He was a long-time member of the Lion‘s Club and a volunteer for Project Share in Carlisle, Pa. He will be remembered for his warm heart and friendship, faith in God and his volunteer contributions to the communities in which he lived.

Diggory was preceded in death by his parents Robert H. Diggory, Jr. and Annis Sykes Diggory; sisters Grace (Walter) Beebe and Marion (Stanley) Bachleda. He is survived by his children, Cindy Cunningham, Donna (Scott) Patterson, Robert (Nancy) H. Diggory IV, Annis (Harold) Poirier, John (Lorri) Diggory and Mark (Victoria) Diggory; grandchildren and loving family.

Mr. Diggory’s body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 3 at 2 p.m. at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel, 3481 Hamilton Mill Road. A second memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 22 at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 64 East North Street, Carlisle, Pa.
