Firefighters Rescued This Muddy Mule
Authorities in Dacula don't know how long the animal's two front legs had been stuck in a creek.
Whether it was being stubborn, or just got unlucky, is hard to say.
But a mule in Dacula needed some help from Gwinnett County firefighters Saturday after getting its front legs stuck in a creek.
Crews were dispatched at 12:42 p.m. to a 911 call from someone saying they’d discovered the stuck mule near Harbin Oaks Drive. The caller did not know how long the animal had been stuck.

Responding officers found what they called a small mule with its front two legs completely submerged in thick mud alongside the creek.
A technical rescue team was called in and they were able to use fire hoses and rescue rope to help pull the animal free. The mule, which was returned to its owner, sustained what firefighters called a minor injury to one of its legs.
