Getting Breakfast at Amy La Faye's
Each week we feature a business from our hometown of Dacula. This week learn more about Amy La Faye's.
Amy Gravitt opened the doors to her restaurant, named in honor of her grandmother, in September 2009. Located at 2559 Pharr Ave., has gained popularity and a following in the community for their homemade, fresh biscuits and breakfast. I recently sat down to talk to Gravitt about her restaurant.

Patch: What is the most challenging aspect of owning a restaurant?
Amy: The biggest challenge is just being my own boss and all of the paperwork that comes along with it. I love the people, I love doing the cooking, I love serving people, I love my customers but the challenge for me is the bookkeeping.

Patch: What makes Amy La Faye's unique?
Amy: We stick to our roots here and I do what I was taught growing up. I have a lot of salesmen try to get me to change this and that, but I stick with what I was taught and how I was raised doing it. I'm very stubborn but I'm very determined to carry on what my grandmother did.
Patch: What makes the Dacula community special?
Amy: This is my home town. I was born and raised in Dacula and I've been here my whole life so I know a lot of people and they're great.
