GHSA Football Playoffs: Who Do Dacula, Mill Creek, Archer Play in First Round?

Dacula-area school clusters will be well represented in the Georgia High School Association playoffs this weekend.

The Dacula Falcons (9-1), who beat Parkview 35-0 last week, finished the regular season as the No. 2 seed from Region 8 and will host Peachtree Ridge (7-3) Friday in the first round of the Class 6A playoffs. Peachtree Ridge is the No. 3 seed from Region 7. Dacula is ranked No. 4 in the state.

The Mill Creek Hawks (7-3), who have won five straight games after a 2-3 start, are the No. 2 seed from Region 7 and will host Grayson (9-1). Mill Creek is No. 8 in the Georgia High School Daily rankings; Grayson is No. 2.

The Archer Tigers (7-3), unranked, but winners of seven in a row, are the Region 8 champ, and will host defending state champ Norcross in the first round. Norcross (7-3) is the No. 4 seed from Region 7.

In all, 12 Gwinnett County are playing in the first round of the state playoffs this weekend. The county’s eight representatives in Class 6A face each other in four first-round games Friday.
