Mill Creek High School will have the largest graduating class in Gwinnett County when 799 seniors receive diplomas this week.

At the top of the class are Valedictorian Katherine Victoria Harrison and Salutatorian Birk Evavold, the Nos. 1 and 2 seniors academically.

- Mill Creek graduation is scheduled at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 21 at the school’s Markham Field.
- Mill Creek will have 263 honor graduates, also tops in Gwinnett.
- Mill Creek’s Benjamin Harris (U.S. Air Force) is one of 26 GCPS students to receive appointments to military academies.
- The following Mill Creek students were named Georgia Scholars: Lauren Balotin, Ashley Barnes, Ethan Jeffrey, LoCicero Austin Smith.
- More than 11,000 seniors will graduate from Gwinnett County Schools this year.
- 83% of the students graduating this year report that they plan to continue their education by attending college or postsecondary schools.
- The seniors who plan to continue their education have been offered, as of April of 2015, nearly $155 million in academic, athletic, and military scholarships.
