Over 100 New Safety Cameras To Be Added In Gwinnett Hotels, Venues
Explore Gwinnett is adding new license plate reading cameras in over 100 hotels.
GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — More than 100 new safety cameras will be added in Gwinnett County hotels and major venues, according to a news release.
The Gwinnett Convention and Visitors Bureau will install the Flock Safety cameras that will use cellphone camera technology to read license plates and capture traffic data, according to Explore Gwinnett. Each hotel will get one or two cameras depending on the size of the property, the release stated.
The new Flock Safety cameras will play a key role in increasing security and minimizing crime, ensuring Gwinnett County remains a secure destination for business and leisure travelers, according to Explore Gwinnett.

“While our primary role is to promote tourism to the county, we realize it is incumbent upon our team to continue thinking innovatively, in terms of what we offer travelers once they arrive here — and that includes all that we do to ensure not only a fun experience, but a safe one,” Explore Gwinnett Director of Community Relations Bruce Johnson said in the news release.
The county already has 300 Flock cameras at highways, large business and key intersections. The hotel installations will bring the number of Flock cameras to more than 410 countywide, according to Explore Gwinnett.
