Gwinnett County Man, Nephew Killed In Barrow Plane Crash
The small plane crashed at about 2 p.m. Thursday at Barrow County Airport.

WINDER, GA — A Gwinnett County man and his nephew were the victims in a deadly plane crash Thursday in Barrow County, authorities said.
Shannon Ewing, of Dacula, and his nephew, Henry Ewing, of Jones County, were in what the Federal Aviation Administration has identified as a Beech C23 aircraft when it went down at about 2 p.m. just off the property of Barrow County Airport in Winder.
FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said the plane crashed off the end of Runway 13 at the airport. As of Friday morning, it was unclear whether the aircraft was taking off or landing at the time.

On Friday, the FAA and National Transportation Safety Board were continuing to investigate the crash.
