LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — It may seem early, but as the holiday season arrives, it's not too soon to start thinking about your New Year's plans in Gwinnett County.

Whether you plan to ring in 2018 at your favorite restaurant, a killer party with your friends, or even call it an early night before the ball drops, Patch has got you covered.

Duluth New Year's Eve Extravaganza

Duluth's New Year's Eve Extravaganza is an annual event where the City of Duluth rings in the new year with residents in a family-friendly atmosphere. The downtown event is free to the public and consists of activities, music, food, and great entertainment, wrapped up with a firework show and the rise of the Duluth icon.

New Year's Dance Party

"007 Meets 2018" is the theme for this year's dance party at the Hilton Atlanta Northeast in Peachtree Corners. Sponsored by Salsa ATL and Dancing4Fun, In addition to the dancing, there will be a three-course dinner and midnight ball drop with champagne toast.

Lanier Islands New Year's Eve Celebration

Food, entertainment, fireworks and overnight deals are in the cards if you want to head up to the lake for New Year's. Visitors will check in at the lodge, then be taken by shuttle to a party at Peachtree Pointe overlooking Lake Lanier. Buffet dinner, open bar and music from Party Nation, an eight-piece band, will ring in 2018, along with a fireworks show over Lake Lanier.

New Year's Eve Celebration at The Inn

Chateau Elan is offering special packages for New Year's. If you stay at the resort, you can get in on a New Year's Eve cocktail reception, six-hour open bar, four-course dinner with wine service, party favors and champagne at midnight and live music. The package also includes a New Year's Day breakfast buffet.

New Year's Eve Masquerade Ball

Porche' Weddings and Special Events is hosting a masquerade to ring in the new year at JVC Event Hall in Lilburn. In two large ballrooms, DJs will be playing hip-hop and Top 100 hits while you enjoy party favors, appetizers and a five-hour open bar. The event hall is at 4515 Stone Mountain Hwy.

"New Year's Eve Live" With Anderson Cooper And Andy Cohen
Where to catch it: CNN starting at 8 p.m. ET
Why you should watch: For the first time ever, Anderson Cooper will host CNN's annual New Year's Eve Live special with none other than "Watch What Happens Live" host Andy Cohen. As these two are best friends in real life, you can expect tons witty banter and hilarious moments from the pair. The Bravo mogul will replace Cooper's former co-host Kathy Griffin, whom CNN fired after her controversial Donald Trump photoshoot.

Where to catch it: ABC starting at 8 p.m. ET
Why you should watch: Remember last year's infamous Mariah Carey mic incident? Yes, it happened on Seacrest's watch. So if that's any indication, this could be a good one to tune-in to. And even if there aren't any crazy celebrity snafus, you can count on crazy views of Time Square packed with people, as well as awesome musical performances.
