Gwinnett County 2011 property tax bills have been mailed to taxpayers and there are some changes to make note of this year.
All bills will have a single installment due date of Nov. 15 according to a press release from the office of the Gwinnett County Tax Commissioner. Anyone who prefers the two installment system can opt to make an earlier partial payment, but the full amount is due by Nov. 15. Also, property owners will be charged for on their tax bill.
There are several ways to remit property tax payments.
- Pay online by credit card or e-check at www.GwinnettTaxCommissioner.com. (Convenience fees apply for credit card transactions; e-check payments are free.)
- Mail payments to P.O. Box 372, Lawrenceville, Ga. 30046.
- Pay by check using drop-off boxes 24 hours a day at all tax commissioner offices.
- Pay in person during business hours at all tax commissioner offices.
- Pay by e-check at (770) 822-8800.
Tax information will be provided to mortgage companies for property owners with escrow accounts, but it is the responsibility of the property owner to ensure taxes are paid by the due date. If there are questions about who will pay taxes, especially if there have been any recent changes with the mortgage company, homeowners are urged to contact their mortgage company directly.
