Here are the top three stories today in Dacula:
- Gwinnett is experiencing a big wave of new development projects in recent years. The Gas South Convention Center underwent upgrades and a new entertainment district was implemented in Duluth. Future projects include the expansion of Northside Hospital's Gwinnett campus, the development of a medical office park, and the construction of the Rowen project, a research-oriented knowledge community. (Fulton Watch)
- Investigation Discovery's special "Deadly Sins: No Forgiveness: If Leaving Was Easy" spotlighted the unraveling of the murder of 30-year-old Doug Gissendaner in Dacula in February 1997 as it aired over the weekend. Gissendaner was found dead by Gwinnett County game wardens twelve days after he was reported missing. (The Cinemaholic)
- Retired Army Corporal William Bozeman of Dacula visited The Citadel Military College campus in Charleston on Feb. 17. Bozeman was a bodyguard for Army General Mark Clark, the 11th president of The Citadel in 1953. Bozeman toured the campus with two cadets, telling them stories of his time in the service.
