Gwinnett Sanitation Holiday Schedule Announced

Regular garbage and recycling collection days in the county fall on Christmas and New Year's Day.

Gwinnett County’s sanitation department has announced its holiday schedule for garbage and recycling pickup during the holidays.

Normally, Christmas Day (Friday, December 25) would be a collection day. Pickup for the week of Dec. 21-25 will instead be on Saturday, December 26.

Also, New Year’s Day falls on a Friday. Collections normally made that day also will be made one day late, on Saturday, January 2.

If your garbage and recycling is usually picked up on another day, you likely get sanitation service from your city, not the county. Many early-week routes will not be impacted by Christmas and New Year’s.
