Homemaker, Church Member Passes Away
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sept. 10.
A 77-year-old homemaker, church member, wife and mother passed away on Saturday, Sept. 7.
Sarah Downey was preceded in death by her brother David Miller of Bowling Green, Ky., her half sister, Hazel Miller Dean and her half-brother, William (Buddy) Miller, both of Ky. She is survived by her husband Glenn Downey, Dacula; children: Andy Downey of Chamblee, Steven and Pattie Downey of Dacula and Tim and Debra Downey of Auburn; sister Norma Jean Edwards, Smiths Grove, Ky.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 2 p.m. in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park in Lawrnceville. An online registry is available at www.stewartfh.com.
