Dripping Raw Chicken: Hamilton Mill Restaurant Scores 59

A Hamilton Mill-area restaurant was cited for numerous violations in a failing heath inspection this week— from not washing hands after touching a trash can to improper food storage.

A Gwinnett County inspector gave Oriental J, located at 2590 Hamilton Mill Road, a score of 59 after a Dec. 4 inspection. Scores of 69 or lower are considered failing.

The inspector noted in the report that twice an employee touched a trash can before opening a can of food, and before scooping rice into a food container. The inspector also noted several employees not washing their hands for the required 20 seconds.

Also noted was the juice of raw chicken stored on a cart dripping onto the cart, plastic wrap and floor.
