Man Treated for Unrelated Medical Emergency at Dacula Mobile Home Fire: Update
The fire was reported at 2325 Cammie Wages Road, Gwinnett Fire said; the home was a total loss.

A man was treated for an unrelated medical emergency at the scene of a mobile home fire Moinday afternoon near Dacula.

The man was treated by paramedics and released, according to Gwinnett Fire Lt. Jerrod Barrett, but otherwise all of the occupants were able to escape unharmed from the fire reported at 2625 Cammie Wages Road. However, two pet cats perished in the blaze, Barrett said.
The home was a total loss.

Firefighters responded to the fire at 12:42 p.m. Monday and found heavy fire showing from the front side of the double-wide mobile home, Barrett said.
“Due to the intense flames, firefighters were forced to knock down the bulk of the fire from the exterior, then was able to make entry and finished [extinguishing the fire],” Barrett said.
Fire crews were called after an occupant said he and his wife were watching television when he smelled smoke. Both residents were able to escape, Barrett said.
There were no smoke detectors in the home.
