Lily's Consignment Reopens After Fire

The Dacula store was heavily damaged by fire last June, but is now back in business.

Last June, a . The damage was so severe, the shop was forced to close while repairs to the interior and exterior were completed. The cause of the fire remains unknown, but, after 10 months of repairs and renovations,  reopened on April 1.

Store owner Bea Francois is thrilled to be back in her shop, and has been very busy the past few months expanding her business through the Lily's Consignment website.

"I put all efforts during those months into the website," Francois said. "Now people can shop online. They can also consign online."

Francois currently has consigners from all over the state shipping their items to be sold. The ability to consign online has led to a significant growth in business for the shop, Francois explained.

Lily's Consignment carries a variety of pieces including vintage pieces, prom gowns, pageant gowns and more.

More importantly, Francois said, the pieces are unique.

"All of my gowns are one-of-a-kind," she said. "I never have two of the same gown."

Francois said she has almost sold out of prom gowns, but still has a few pieces remaining. Gowns range in price from $35-$400.
