Local Students' Artwork on Display at Public Library

Artwork from students in the Puckett's Mill Elementary Art Club is on display at the Hamilton Mill branch of the Gwinnett County Public Library. Library visitors can see the students' unique hand sculptures near the front entrance as well as painted canvases lining the back wall in the children's section.

"I'm always amazed by the creativity that comes from the young students in our club," says Joyce Dorian, who leads the Art Club and teaches art specials at Puckett's Mill. "It's rewarding to see what a child can create when given an idea, initial instruction and then time."

The Puckett's Mill Art Club includes about 35 students in fourth and fifth grades.
