2 Killed in Monday Morning Wreck Near Ga. 316 in Gwinnett

Two were killed in a Monday morning wreck near Ga. 316, one of two wrecks investigated by police around the same time in the same general area.
Lawrenceville Police said Judy Ingram, 50, of Lawrenceville, died when she apparently crossed into incoming traffic on Buford Drive near Cripple Creek Drive and struck another car head-on, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. The identity of the other driver was not immediately released.

Gwinnett Police worked another crash nearby at Ga. 316 and Harbins Road involving a garbage truck and passenger car. That wreck was reported around 7:20 a.m. No fatalities were reported, but police said extraction equipment was needed.
The second wreck closed down Ga. 316 for a period of time.

Police were working two serious traffic accidents β one with possibly two fatalities β Monday morning.
Gwinnett Police news alert:
Incident #1: Buford Drive near Swanson Road. There are possibly two fatalities in this accident. City of Lawrenceville is handling this incident.
Incident #2: 316WB near Harbins Road. Call came in at 7:20am. This is between a garbage truck and a passenger car. 316 WB is currently shut down at this time. No confirmed fatalities at this time. Extraction equipment is being used.
