Tomas Rodriquez, a father of three, died after he was slapped across the face by Adrian Herrera, who is currently being held without bail.

DACULA, GA — A Gwinnett County man died after he was slapped by another man at a child's birthday party in Gwinnett County, according to police.
Adrian Herrera, 31, was being held in Gwinnett County Jail without bond Wednesday, charged with involuntary manslaughter, according to jail records. Officers were called at about 3 a.m. Sunday to a home in the 100 block of Pipeline Road in Dacula.
Tomas Rodriquez was found lying on the ground and not breathing, according to a Gwinnett County Police incident report. Herrera, according to the report, told officers that Rodriquez had been harassing him at a children's birthday party Saturday night where about 70 people were present.

Adults reportedly remained at the party late into the night. Herrera said he asked Rodriquez to stop but he kept bothering him and, eventually, grabbed him and called him a derogatory name. Police say Herrera then slapped Rodriquez, who fell down and stopped breathing.
Herrera told officers he tried to give CPR to Rodriquez, but other people at the party wouldn't let him continue. Responding officers attempted to revive the father of three, but were unsuccessful.
