Masked Men Wearing Hard Hats, Orange Vests Rob Nearby Jewelry Store

Kay Jewelers near Bethlehem was held up Tuesday morning.

Two men wearing hard hats, orange safety vests and dust masks held up a Bethlehem jewelry store Tuesday morning.

The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook the suspects entered Kay Jewelers just before 10:30 a.m. and stole an undisclosed quantity of items. One of the men brandished a dark handgun.

Both men were described as thin-built black males between 5 foot, 8 inches and 6 feet tall.

Authorities also are looking for the suspect’s vehicle, a newer-model silver Ford Explorer with a luggage rack and sunroof.

The sheriff’s office released surveillance images on Facebook.

Any persons with information on this incident should contact the Sheriff’s Office dispatch center at 770-307-3122 or 911 in case of an emergency. More information will be released as it becomes available.
