Massive Dacula Development Gets Final Approval
The Gwinnett Board of Commissioners gave the final OK for The Village at Hog Mountain on Tuesday.
DACULA, GA — The Village at Hog Mountain is on its way to becoming reality, after Gwinnett's board of commissioners voted to give final approval to the massive, mixed-use development in Dacula.
The development will cover 66 acres at Jim Moore Road and Hamilton Mill Parkway.
As designed, the project, by developer BJM Properties LLC, would bring 74 single-family homes, 12 townhomes and 30,000 square feet of retail and office space to the area.

Plans also include the relocation of a private school and a church to the development. Eleven school buildings will house a new location for the Oak Hill Classical School, according to developers.
No one spoke against the plans at the commissioners' meeting on Tuesday.

Before Tuesday, the property was zoned for a senior-living community. It was rezoned that way in 2006, but the facility was never built.
