Mayor Shares Vision for Historic Downtown Area

In this week's "Three Questions With the Mayor," Dacula Mayor Jimmy Wilbanks provides an update on the latest city news and discusses his vision for the historic downtown area.

Dacula Patch: What's new in Dacula this week?

Mayor Wilbanks: The Dacula City Council meets on April 4, 2013 at 7 p.m. at the City Hall.

Dacula Patch: What is something Dacula residents need to know this week?

Mayor Wilbanks: As the lawn care season starts, residents are reminded to avoid putting grass clippings out in the street or down the storm water drains.

Dacula Patch: In the long term, what would you like to see happen in historic downtown Dacula?

Mayor Wilbanks: Historically, the historic downtown area has been a commercial center for this part of the county. I would like to see the historic buildings full of businesses. The City has done a lot of work in making the downtown look better, and as the economy begins to pick up, I hope to see additional businesses locate in the historic downtown area.
