Join your friends and neighbors on Sunday, May 31, 2015, for a celebration of World Turtle Day at the Environmental and Heritage Center (EHC) from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.

World Turtle Day brings attention to and increases knowledge of and respect for turtles and tortoises and encourages human action to help them survive and thrive. Of the 56 species of turtles found in the continental United States, 42 live among us here in the Southeast.

“This will be a great opportunity to meet your shelled, reptile neighbors from around the region,” said Jason West, EHC director of programming.

In addition to meeting live turtles, there will be special turtle crafts and activities. Pricing for this program is included in regular EHC admission. Children ages 2 and under and EHC members are admitted free. For more information and admission pricing, visit www.gwinnettEHC.org.
