This summer, Dacula residents will have another choice for frozen treats.
Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt plans to open a store at 2463 Hamilton Mill Road in the Hamilton Mill Village Shopping Center.
Franchisees Rodd and Linda Rae Seigel along with partner Steve Schuler currently operate Menchie’s stores in Cumming Market Place, Medlock Bridge, Toco Hills, Tuxedo Festival, Paces Ferry, Towne Lake and Sandy Plains. The new Hamilton Mill location is scheduled to open in June.

The Hamilton Mill Menchie’s store will include a party room and is designed to be a safe and fun local meeting place for children and their families.
Seigel said she and her husband are excited about the opportunity to work closer to their home.
“One of the benefits of opening the Hamilton Mill store will be to meet more of the community in which my husband and I reside,” she wrote. “We treasure the connections that occur in building a clientele and team. This will be the first time we live in close proximity to one of our stores, only two miles away so the people we encounter will in effect be our neighbors.”
Seigel also looks forward to working with local schools, churches, children’s charities and sport leagues.
“We work with them in a variety of ways and are very flexible to meet the diverse needs of each group. Through our combined efforts, we are able to assist in fundraising. With a little brainstorming and some creativity, it is easy to come up with ideas that benefit us all,” she said.
During the grand opening event, the date of which has not yet been determined, Menchie’s will offer free yogurt between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. as well as other activities. Menchie’s will also donate a portion of the following day’s proceeds to stickit2Cancer.
