I happened to be up front in City Hall when a new family of residents came in to make sure our sanitation service would not be interrupted when they closed on their new home next week.
We had a good conversation about that and then I asked the "QUESTION," Where did you move from and why did you choose Dacula?
Guess what the answer was? Education. The family had heard that we have good schools in the area. And I was surprised at the other answer, "We know that people in this area model good character and integrity for young people. We were distressed about that part of the quality of life in California." (Hope I didn't mess those comments up to much, but that's how I remember the conversation.)
I wondered how someone in California might have heard that. Turns out that the new residents have relatives near Dacula.
My commendations to the current residents of Dacula. Keep up the good work. This is a tremendous place to raise a family, a work, play, learn, and work community.
