'My Best Friend Stands Beside Me': Mother's Day Photos

Help Patch celebrate Mother's Day 2018 by sending in your mother-daughter lookalike photo.

DACULA, GA — Whether it's through their personality, looks, hobbies or a combination of everything, daughters become a reflection of the woman who raised them. With Mother's Day 2018 right around the corner, we are celebrating that special bond by inviting Patch readers across Georgia to share their "mother-daughter lookalike" photos.

It doesn't matter how old the kids are, they'll always be your babies!

Dacula resident Reba Shelby sent us this beautiful photo of her with her mother, Reba Diane, this past summer in Alpharetta at the Country Club of the South, for the annual Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation golf tournament. They were supporting disabled veterans by building homes for them!

"Wow, my mother is like no other. A woman who has sacrificed so much in her life to allow me to have the best possible life. A single mom was the reason I graduated from college debt free, and a mom who has taught me to be the leader and woman I am today. She has stood beside me through every walk in my life, my first walk, my senior walk, and now my walk with cancer."

Happy Mother's Day, Reba Diane!

It's your turn, Patch readers — what traits do you and your mom share? Submit your lookalike photos by sending them to john.barker@patch.com. Be sure to include a nice message for your loved one, as well as the city/location of the photo and the date it was taken. We'll share some of our favorites.
