UPDATED: Police Investigating Robbery at Jewelry Store

Robbers strike Tara Fine Jewelry in Buford, customer injured. Reward offered.

Gwinnett County Police continue to investigate a robbery that occurred on March 22 at Tara Fine Jewelry in Buford.

The owner of the store is offering a $50,000 award for information leading to the apprehension and arrest of those responsible.

According to police, four to five black males entered the Buford Highway store at approximately 11:45 a.m. and made off with an undisclosed amount of jewelry. The robbers left in a large sport utility vehicle.

Police say one customer was transported to the hospital for treatment of a minor injury after being struck in the head with a blunt object.

The Gwinnett County Police and Robbery Unit is investigating. Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call 770-513-5300.
