Police Seek Suspects in Gas Station Shooting
The victim was asked if he had a lighter and when he reached to get it, a suspect drew a gun and a shot was fired.

Gwinnett Police are looking for suspects in a recent shooting at a Sugarloaf Parkway gas station.
The incident happened May 8 at the Race Trac store located at 3405 Sugarloaf Parkway near Lawrenceville. The victim was shot in the arm in a possible attempted robbery near his car in the parking lot, police said in a news release.

The man, who was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening wound, told police an unknown male came up to him and asked to borrow a lighter. When he reached into his car, the suspect pulled a gun and allegedly shot the man. The victim told police he believed the suspect was trying to rob him.
The shooter and two to three other males got into a small maroon car and left the scene, police said.

On Tuesday, police released surveillance images of the person they believe was the driver in the attack.
“This male is not believed to be the shooter, but is wanted for questioning in reference to the incident,” police said in the news release.
