Police: Teens May Be Responsible for 300 Car Break-In Attempts in Dacula
3 were arrested and charged with 22 counts of entering autos in the Apalachee Heritage subdivision.

Gwinnett Police arrested three teenagers who are suspected in as many as 300 entering auto attempts in a Dacula-area subdivision.
Police said the alleged crimes occurred between Dec. 21 and Jan. 2 in the Apalachee Heritage subdivision.
“Three juvenile suspects attempted to enter approximately 300 vehicles in the neighborhood,” Gwinnett Police spokesperson Cpl. Michele Pihera said in a news release. “Numerous unlocked vehicles were entered. In one instance, the suspects went into the victim’s garage to enter a vehicle and stole additional items from the garage. The suspects may have also slashed tires of vehicles when they could not find valuables inside.”

One 16-year-old and two 15-year-olds, all from Dacula, were charged with a total of 22 counts of entering autos, two counts of burglary, five counts of criminal trespass and four counts of second degree criminal damage to property.
