Dog Flu Spread From Georgia, Florida Dog Shows: Officials

Cases of canine influenza A virus, or dog flu, have been confirmed in the past week with the strain tied to animals that were either at the Perry, Georgia, dog show from May 19 to 21, or a Florida dog show the following weekend, according to the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. The first twelve dogs tested were found positive for H3N2 CIV.

DeKalb Sheriff Jeff Mann Pleads Not Guilty To Indecency, Obstruction

DeKalb County Sheriff Jeff Mann pleaded not guilty to indecency and obstruction charges Friday in Atlanta Municipal Court. A July 7 trial date has been set in the case. The plea comes days after a Fulton County judge ruled that a governor-appointed investigation into Mann's actions when he was arrested late night in Piedmont Park will continue.

Police Study Video Of Deadly Shooting Outside Buckhead Shopping Center

Atlanta police asked the public's help Friday in finding who shot a man in a busy shopping center in Buckhead. The incident happened about 10:40 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot of Kroger on Piedmont Road.
