Remember the Titanic? The Year Was 1997

Do you remember what you were doing back in the summer of 1997?

The year was 1997, the blockbuster hit of the summer was the movie "Titanic" and our country was in position to continue a time of prosperity, wealth and growth.

Do you remember what you were doing back in the summer of 1997? What was your career at that time, or did you even have one yet? Still in college maybe, just got that promotion and had to relocate to Atlanta and decided on landing in a little town called Dacula?

I just wrote a article about the housing market and that the median home price of today is what it was back in 1997. Can you believe that! You can buy a home for what you could have paid for it when the move the "Titanic" came out.

Bill Clinton was sworn in for his second term as president, the Dow closed above 7,000 for the first time in February and Timothy McVeigh was convicted for his role in the Oklahoma City Bombings.

So how has you and your business changed since that time? What are you now relying on that back in 1997 was not even thought of? There was no Facebook, Twitter or the Patch for you daily glimpse of instant access to news. Cell phones were still in the dark ages and we actually had to sit down face to face to talk to your clients and business partners. Planes were how you had to travel to meet with your business clients around the world. Remember there was no web conferencing.
