Retail Development, Daycare Cases Tabled

Requests will go before the planning commission on June 7.

Both Dacula area cases on Tuesday night’s planning commission agenda have been tabled until the commission’s June 7 meeting.

The Gwinnett County Planning Commission met April 19 to consider several requests including two rezoning applications related to Dacula area properties.

In the first case, applicant George Flannigan is requesting his property located at the corner of Braselton Highway and South Pucketts Mill Road be rezoned from RA-200 (Agriculture-Residence District) to C-1 (Neighborhood Business District) in order to allow construction of a child daycare center.

Flannigan is also the applicant in the second case,  a request to rezone a 3.89-acre parcel at the intersection of Braselton Highway and Holman Road from RA-200 (Agriculture Residence District) to C-2 (General Business District) to allow for the construction of a 17,385-square-foot commercial/retail building and an additional retail outparcel with a total of 85 parking spaces.
