Road Project, Tornado Siren Update on Council Agenda

Dacula City Council work session scheduled for July 28.

Plans to construct a two-way street on Second Avenue near Dacula Road will move forward next week if the Dacula City Council council authorizes the city to advertise for construction bids.

The council will discuss the during its July 28 work session.

The project calls for creating a two-way entrance at the intersection of Second Avenue and Dacula Road. As planned, the project would allow traffic to turn right onto Second Avenue and would allow motorists to turn right only off Second Avenue onto Dacula Road.

An update regarding repairs to the city’s tornado siren is also on Thursday night’s agenda. In June, the council . The estimated cost to repair the siren is $6,100.
