Seven Wrecks on I-85 Make Gwinnett Commute a Nightmare
All seven crashes happened separately on I-85 southbound during morning drive time.

Lawrenceville, GA -- If your commute from Gwinnett County seemed even more brutal that usual on Tuesday, you weren’t just imagining it.
Seven separate crashes were reported during rush hour on Interstate 85 southbound in Gwinnett, turning what always threatens to be a bumpy ride into a stop-and-go nightmare for some commuters.
WSB-TV reporter Mark Arum was on top of the dismal news for Gwinnett drivers. He first made note of the wrecks after three had already been spotted by about 6:15 a.m.

All three of those early wrecks were bunched up between Sugarloaf Parkway and Steve Reynolds Boulevard.
An hour later, Arum tweeted the words that many commuters were no doubt thinking.

“This is ridiculous,” he wrote, as he reported on southbound crashes No. 4 and 5.
Again, all the crashes were between Sugarloaf and Steve Reynolds.
And it wasn’t long before the tally hit seven, leaving Arum little left to do but offer some driving advice, and perhaps a hint of sarcasm.
“Oh, hey ... our SEVENTH crash on I-85 in Gwinnett County this morning,” he wrote. “Focus people!”
